Wealthy Kwagalana Bows to Pressure, Donates 1 Truck to COVID Taskforce

It is often said the true character of a man openly emerges when he gets rich.
This could be true if the habits of Kampala’s wealthiest businessmen whose Kwagalana group has been eerily silent as Ugandans from all walks of life made donations towards the National COVID Task Force.
This website alerted the public to the ‘silence’ of the wealthy group who looked away as some of their members including Sudhir Ruparelia donated cars and dry rations to help unfortunate families in the lock down.
In a ‘forced’ but also mean feat, the Kwagalana group has today donated a sole, Tata Model Pick-Up truck to the COVID Task Force.
The truck, valued a US $ 25,000 was delivered after the public took note of the rich-businessmen’s carefree attitude towards the plight of the millions of Ugandans with no stable source of income.
The National COVID Task Force has been receiving alot generous support from other wealthy Ugandans like Hassan Bassajjabala and Hamis Kiggundu who individually donated UGX 100m each.
The Kwagalana group is famous for throwing heavy weight parties to celebrate their members’ achievements and events like Ephraim Ntaganda’s wedding where they contributed over UGX 1billion.
