The hostility between the legislature and Executive has deepened with legislators vowing to teach President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni a lesson by reviewing the age limit act.

The rift between the two arms of government arises from shs 10 billion which MPs had secretly allocated to themselves but have since been forced to return it.

The decision by Museveni has pushed the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga and her lawmakers to the edge and have since threatened to expose sensitive government expenditure.

As if that is not enough, reports have started emerging that all MPs including those from the ruling party are looking at resurrecting the age limit debate in retaliation.

NRM legislators have in the recent times unleashed venom and castigated their Chairman who publicly referring to them as thieves

Margaret Muhanga who represents Burahya county and also speaks for NRM caucus openly responded to Museveni with a tough voice.

An online news outlet Second Opinion, says Muhanga’s threats weren’t in vain.

To clip Museveni’s wings Parliament has allowed Ndorwa East MP Wilfred Nuwagaba to table his private members bill on the Presidency.

MPs privy to the bill but asked not to be mentioned said Nuwanga’s bill will also review the recently passed passed age-limit Act.

The age limit was passed under harsh conditions which saw some opposers dragged out of Parliamentary chambers by security operatives who raided Parliament.

“MPs are incensed and they want to use this opportunity to move the amendment and disable Museveni’s chances of standing for President,” said a source.

“We want the 75years to be brought back for review. The 317MPs who passed it are saying they didn’t make a thorough study of it to make a proper judgment. We want to rescind the decision because we did it haphazardly,” a female MP from Eastern region told the media.

The member explained that the move is premised on the fact that the rules of people procedure allows the sitting parliament before the expiry of it’s term to review and rescind an earlier decision it had passed.

Nuwagaba is expected to table his bill today (Tuesday).

This is a developing story…
