The family will provide more information in the near future,” Milton posted on Facebook.
Barbara Allimadi, was a vocal activist, Coordinator (interim) International & Diaspora Affairs, Alliance for National Transformation (ANT).
“She was part of the 2013 #OneVoice campaign, a campaign meant to end impunity by making Ugandans realize that they can cause change. Allimadi, alongside Concerned Citizens, was also part of the efforts that saw the release of those imprisoned for the 2009 riots that followed the Kabaka’s blocked visit to Kayunga,” some of ANT’s members mourned her passing.
Allimadi shot to limelight in 2012 when she led a group of FDC women supporters to Central Police Station (CPS) and stripped protesting the manhandling of Ingrid Turinawe.
She left FDC when Gen, Muntu broke away from the party in 2018 to form ANT.
