The Ministry of Health has Sunday registered 4 new COVID-19 cases out of the 1,578 samples tested among truck drivers.

All new confirmed cases are Tanzanian truck drivers who arrived in Uganda via Mutukula border

411 samples from communities tested negative for COVID-19.

Uganda’s COVID-19 Confirmed Cases have now climbed to 79 with 46 recoveries and no deaths so far.

As the truck drivers from neighboring States continue to be a threat to Uganda, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has proposed that all the drivers must not leave the border points without results.

Museveni said he will elaborate more on this measure on Tuesday in a detailed address.
