Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba has wished Rwanda well during the commemoration ceremony of Rwanda’s genocide.

In his tweet towards the ‘Kwibuka’ occasion, Muhoozi also said Rwanda’s President Kagame had a special relationship with his father, General Yoweri Museveni that would never end in war.

This year’s Kwibuka will mark 26th anniversary.

In his message posted on Twitter, the First Son is also reminded his countrymen and the neigbours that revolutionaries like President Museveni can have a misunderstanding with a friend but he wouldn’t fight that person.

Muhoozi added that Museveni and Rwandan leader Paul Kagame have come a long away and would never wage wars against themselves.

While posting pictures of the two President sharing a light moment in the past, Muhoozi referred to them as “brothers/comrades.”

“Brothers/Comrades and Revolutionaries can quarrel but they should never fight. We have come from very far. I wish His Excellency General Kagame and the people of Rwanda a solemn and respectful kwibuka,” reads Muhoozi’s tweet.

For over a year now Uganda and Rwanda have shared fragile diplomatic relations as the two countries accuse eachother of espionage and habouring wrong elements to destabilize their governments.

Uganda has in the past arrested a number of armed Rwandan operatives who were allegedly engaged in criminality in Kampala and other nearby towns.

The two leaders have in the recent past met a number of times to repair their delicate relations.

Until today Rwandan border at Katuna remains closed thus denying Ugandan good into the country.
