President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is scheduled to address Ugandans for the third time since he implemented a shutdown following the soaring cases of Coronavirus in the country.
Museveni through his press team announced that he will address the nation on Friday (today) at 8pm.
The anticipation among Ugandans is the President will announce more stringent measures in the fight against this global pandemic which has since claimed over 50000 people and over 1 million infected.
After announcing a lockdown on Monday, Museveni would again clarify on the directives he issued on Tuesday.
His directives particularly banning private transport has since paralyzed movement of individuals who are seeking services like medical, food across the country.
A small number of Ugandans has already paid a heavy price after failing to secure clearance from government officials to access medical services.
