President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni will speak to the citizens again on Tuesday evening at 8pm to substantiate on some ‘unclear’ directives he issued Monday while implementing a shutdown across the country.

The directives are aiming at combating the spread of Coronavirus pandemic in which Uganda has so far confirmed 33 cases.

Don Wanyama a senior Presidential press secretary confirmed the development on his Twitter page.

Museveni had earlier said that after careful consideration, the government had decided to “error on the side of caution” than to repeat the mistakes of the nations that have been greatly affected by the Coronavirus pandemic.

He then ordered a lockdown for 14 days as government monitors the spread of the virus.

But some of his guidelines were interpreted by the populace as misleading or confusing.

For example Museveni allowed construction sites to remain operating but shutdown hardware shops which feed these sites.
