Ugandan Leader has announced that confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the country have risen to 44 after 11 children tested positive on Tuesday.
These children who belong to Watoto a famous pentecostal church in the land were among 173 who conducted a test from the quarantine facility.
The President said, these children had returned from abroad and had been placed under quarantine at Entebbe.
On Monday 88 people tested negative. They had returned from foreign countries.
Majority of cases in Uganda are all returnees mostly from UAE- Dubai and Europe.
The President in a bid to control the spread of this virus that continues to rattle the globe ordered a 14-day lockdown in Uganda having banned public transport a week earlier.
The first case in Uganda was confirmed on March 17 as a local businessman returned from Dubai.
The 36-year-old businessman was intercepted at Entebbe Airport.
Mr. Museveni reiterates Uganda’s commitment to fighting this virus.
