Photos: How Entebbe Airport Looks Like after Shutdown

There is no business at Entebbe

In accordance to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s directive issued Sunday, Entebbe Airport has temporarily suspended flights coming in and out of Uganda as a major precaution to combat spread of Coronavirus.

Uganda registered its first case on Saturday morning after a local businessman who was returning from Dubai tested positive.

The 36-year-old Kibuli resident was intercepted at Entebbe Airport on arrival. He remains isolated at Entebbe Grade B hospital.

The terminals were empty.

Whereas the President had earlier announced a partial lockdown, he had left the airport open.

The National Courier Uganda Airlines has also grounded its airliners at Entebbe.

Only two airplanes will be operational on Tuesday and Wednesday for UK and US citizens.

The Ugandan patient was aboard Ethiopian Airlines which has since suspended its operations in.
