Uganda remains free of dreaded Coronavirus after four foreign nationals picked from Entebbe Airport with strong cold and flu have tested negative.
Minister of Health Hon Ruth Aceng announced the results on Monday through her Twitter page.
Their blood samples were taken to Uganda Virus Research Institute in Entebbe.
“Results from Uganda Virus Research Institute show that all four foreign nationals currently under isolation at Entebbe RRH have tested negative for COVID19,” Minister Aceng said.
“As of today, Uganda has no case of COVID19.”
The four foreigners were isolated at Entebbe Hospital on Sunday evening.
“They were picked up from Entebbe International Airport after presenting with flu and cough symptoms by our surveillance teams,” Ministry of Health said on Sunday.
