Kilak County legislator Anthony Akol has denied claims that he engaged in a fist fight with his colleague Odonga Otto who represents Aruu County IN Northern Uganda.
The two parliamentarians on Thursday afternoon staged a fight in the Parliament’s lobby with Akol dispelling rumors circulated by Otto that he received shs 300 million to sell the voters’ land to an investor in Amuru District, Acholi sub region.
The exchange turned physical before Hon Otto could be hospitalized briefly at Nakasero Hospital alleging that his colleague punched his right eye repeatedly.
Responding to the saga, Akol told the media that he was forced to retaliate after Otto kicked him.
“He abused me and later kicked my leg. I also had to defend myself by slapping him,” he said.
He denied punching Otto, “I am a heavyweight if I boxed him he would be down dead.”
But Odonga Otto earlier said he didn’t fight back because his tormentor is a giant who competes with an elephant in size and eats game park meat.
