To many, the ultimate achievement in life is a university degree. The desire to achieve one has seen one fellow move from a diploma, through years of combining school, slaying, bar business, journalism, raising a family to finally wearing the coveted gown. That man is Kazo county’s Fideli!
Fideli Castrol, as he is commonly known by his friends graduated this morning from Makerere University Business School to crown the many years of sleepless nights. The ‘young man’ who is in his mid-forties and hails from Kazo in Kiruhura District is a common face on Kampala’s social scene courtesy of hanging with fellow slay kings like Gareth Onyango, Fareed Kisuule, Prince Jjunju, Bread Kenneth.
Known for his love of pork, alcohol, flesh and partying, it was a moment of relief for Fideli’s friends when the bar loving lad finally passed his exams to graduate. With praise, the group has dedicated the whole of this week to partying in celebration of Fidel’s feat. ‘Man, I cant believe Fideli finally graduated. I have always imagined he only runs around bars and pimps his friends. I am happy for him. He has challenged us. Akozeyo akatiisa’ said Sam, one of his close friends.
A vocal member of leading media personalities’ group-Media Wolox, Fideli broke the news of his graduation last week, and crowned it this morning with a picture of himself donning the black & red MAK gown. First to shoot was Steven Baryevuga who for long had taunted him as ‘half literate’ and not fit to make meaningful contribution to the group. In a rare show of praise, he congratulated him and added that Fideli would now comfortably ‘sit on the table of men’. Other members overwhelmingly congratulated him and praised him for chasing his ‘dream’ amidst the taunts and challenges of life.
Rumour is rife that besides wanting to upgrade his academic papers, Fideli has his sights on the Kazo county Member of Parliament seat, and has been secretly canvassing for support from the electorate. TrumpetNews congratulates Fideli on this gargantuan notch and wishes him the best in life.
