Joseph Biribonwa, the former Deputy Chairman of Electoral Commission (EC) has been appointed as National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) Board Chairperson.
His appointment was approved by cabinet which sat on Monday January 13, 2019 at Entebbe State House.
Biribonwa will be deputized by Ms Ruth Nvumetta Kavuma with Ms Betty Kivumbi Nanyonga as a board member.
Other members include Maj. Gen. Apollo Kasita Gowa who represents Internal Affairs, James Saaka the representative of NIRA and Bemanya Twebaze the URSB Executive Director.
