SFC Speaks out on ‘Beating’ Mbarara NRM Mobiliser near Museveni

The Special Forces Command (SFC), a lethal unit of the army has come out to dispel reports that its officers assaulted a civilian during the anti-corruption walk in which the President was the guest of honour.

Hajji Jamilu Bakyase a devoted supporter of the regime who is personally known to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni was allegedly clobbered by the SFC officers on Wednesday while he attempted to penetrate the inner security ring.

The SFC is solely responsible for Museveni’s security, the First Family and other strategic areas of the country.

Reports later Thursday began circulating on social media that the NRM man from western Uganda had been hospitalized and was in critical condition following the attack.

However, the SFC spokesperson Major Denis Jimmy Omara speaking to TrumpetNews dismissed the rumors saying Hajji Bakyase had been politely handled since he attempted to be in “a wrong place at a wrong time.”

“An NRM mobilizer? How could we know? Anyway the event wasn’t a political event. It was an anti-corruption walk. And there were many principles from government who attended including the President, the Chief Justice and others. So I don’t see why a mobiliser comes in,” Omara said.

Adding that because Hajji Bakyase was in a wrong place at a wrong time, he was “helped” by the SFC to be in the right place.
