National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) Dr. Silver Mugisha has been elected President African Water Association (AFWA) by the board which sat Friday 15th November, 2019
He is the first Ugandan to hold the position.

In 2016, Dr. Eng Silver Mugisha was elected Vice President of the International Water Association (IWA).
