As Mr. Peter Sebutemu prepares to giveaway his daughter Rema Namakula to Hamza Ssebunya in a lavish ceremony happening at Nabbingo on Thursday, he has for the first time spoken out on the singer’s past relationship and career.
Sebutemu who appeared on Spark TV dropped a bombshell saying he castigated his daughter’s past relationship with fellow musician Edrisa Musuza aka Eddy Kenzo from the beginning.
“I didn’t like the idea of Rema getting married to Kenzo. Because from the start I have always told my daughters to focus on their lives and make best choices. And I support education. I emphasized that they must know education is the future,” said Mr. Sebutemu.
He added that he was annoyed because Rema had defied his orders and fallen in love with someone who isn’t studied.
“But her siblings convinced me that I shouldn’t intervene in her choice of marriage.”
Asked to comment on Rema- Kenzo fallout, Peter said he wasn’t surprised Kenzo had abandoned his daughter in the house.
On introducing her new catch Hamza Ssebunya, Rema’s father excitedly said he is the right choice because he is learned and has a bright future as a doctor. He is convinced that Rema made a right choice.
