Presidential advisor on Kampala Catherine Kusasira has reportedly been denied a visa to United States of America where she was slated to travel within this week.
The musician appointed recently by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has lately been combing the city meeting different party youth groups as a means of dismantling People Power cells.
Insiders say Kusasira had planned to travel to America to also mobilize support and counter Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine a fellow musician who announced his plans to contest NRM chairman in 2021.
While in America media reported that a Boston Mayor had announced to back Kyagulanyi’s bid.
Against that backdrop Kusasira applied for visa at the U.S embassy but was denied.
Dimon Mitchel Philip the embassy spokesperson told TrumpetNews on Monday evening that the mission hadn’t operated on Monday as it honoured the Veteran’s day back home.
He suspected it could have been the reason. He promised to check with the officials at the embassy later Tuesday.
Kusasira couldn’t respond to our multiple calls or messages sent to her.
