Kampala Metropolitan Police has issued details of the Thursday morning accident which occurred on Ntinda- Kiwatule road.
The accident was caused by a huge truck registration number UAX 495M which belongs to SINO.
Police has further named a victim, a boda boda rider who succumbed to deep wounds sustained.
Statement
Today at around 8:30am along Ntinda Kiwatule Road, a Sino truck registration number UAX 495M rammed into vehicles, eight people have been confirmed injured and one person dead.
The deceased has been identified as Matovu William, 32, a rider, who succumbed to injuries he had sustained during the accident at Kampala Independent Hospital.
The vehicle that is alleged to have caused the accident rammed into nine vehicles and two motorcycles.

Driver of the vehicle that is believed to have caused the accident is currently on the run. Investigations are still ongoing to establish what exactly caused the accident.
