Bebe Cool Praises Bobi Wine

Bebe Cool and Bobi Wine shook hands last year in November after they fell out many years ago

In unprecedented shift of events, musician Bebe Cool real names Moses Ssali has Wednesday morning showered praises on his longtime nemesis Hon Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine as an inspiration to the youth who is also trying out his luck.

Unlike in the recent past when he had no kind words for Bobi Wine and publically went bare knuckles explaining that the self proclaimed Ghetto Gladiator has nothing to offer as an MP in the political arena of Uganda.

Appearing on NBSTV on Wednesday morning, Bebe Cool however, claimed to have made Bobi wine as an artiste way back in the days when they both lived in the Ghetto.

Mr. Ssali was discussing Uganda’s politics and his allegiance to NRM.

“I made Bobi Wine because I nurtured him. I was the first to live in the ghetto and basically I am the best to talk about the ghetto,” Bebe Cool told the moderator.

The Wire Wire star defended his love for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni saying he has supported him for 25 years, offered all his own and this would be the time for the President to repay him.

“The President has bought me a new car, he paid by medical bills when I was sick and also agreed to fund my proposal. But you should remember that I have invested in the party for 25 years. I sang on two campaign trails for free and also made several songs,” Bebe Cool said.

On Museveni’s robust plan to comb the ghetto and whether he feels threatened by BobI Wine, Bebe Cool wondered whether Museveni is a President for only the uptown Ugandans.

Asked to describe Bobi Wine, Bebe Cool without hesitation said the Kyadondo legislator is trying out his luck and also trying to inspire some Ugandans.

However, he was quick to refer to him as selfish who only misleads a number of young Ugandans into the protests as his family lives large and comfortable in Kampala.
