Man Arrested for Abducting 16 Children for Circumcision in Mpigi

Mpigi Police has Monday morning saved 16 pupils of St Peter’s Katulo after the school head teacher reported a case of abduction.

Mr Peter Ndegeya, 49, told police that the children abducted were between the age of 4- 13 and their captor a one Musa Lwanga used a passenger taxi Registration number UAU 260L to ferry the kids.

“Upon getting the information a team of detectives swung in action commanded by Oc station Bujuuko and managed to intercept Lwanga Musa the suspect and arrested him,16 children were all rescued and later reunited with their parents,” reports police.

It was later established that Lwanga Musa allegedly picks up children from schools and along the way without the consent of the parent, takes them to hospital for circumcision as he earns 50,000/= per head.

He is currently being detained at Bujuuko Police station as investigation are ongoing.
