Scandal: 2 top UPDF Soldiers Lock Horns over Woman

There is a looming blood bath in the UPDF establishment as two high ranking soldiers are incessantly fighting for a woman who has been identified as Noma Kakono.

The two combatants at the rank of Colonel and Captain have also been identified as Keith Katungu and Moses Kashoma respectively.

Sources in the military reveal that Col Katungi heads the 309 Brigade based in Hima town council, Kasese District, on several occasions warned Cpt. Moses to back of his marital wife Noma.

Capt Kashoma according to reports is attached to Special Forces Command, a lethal unit of the UPDF that guards the First Family and other strategic installations in the country.

Allegations

Sources privy to the ongoing fight allege that Moses who is being monitored by security because of his previous relations with former IGP Kale Kayihura was rendered jobless and spends most of his time visiting city hangouts in upscale Nakasero or Ntinda specifically Lounge 69.

Whereas he remains un-deployed, Capt. Moses drives his Toyota Landcruiser registration number UBB 294L which sources claim was a present from Gen. Kayihura appreciating his loyalty at the time.

Kayihura who retreated to his farm in Kasagama, Lyantode District was recently pictured feeding his goats as he awaits deployment.

Sources further aver that Ms Noma worked at State House and it became quite easy to link with Moses.

Moses is also married to Kiconco Hanifa Karadi a former contestant of Mbarara District Woman MP.

The couple is blessed with two children.

According to exclusive reports inside the military, Col Katungi married Noma in 2006 after she had bitterly fallen out with her boyfriend also a soldier who now holds a rank of Major General.

She mothered five children for Katungi.

“But sometime back in 2016 Col. Katungi began hearing rumors that his wife was seeing a fellow junior soldier which he took lightly,” source says.

As a trained military officer, he needed to have evidence before confronting his wife.

“After gathering some evidence, Katungi politely told Moses’ wife Hanifa to caution her husband. But her words fell on a deaf ear. She has since forced Moses out of their Kulambiro home,” a source adds.

Likewise, Capt Katungi known to be amiable, has since taken his children to a boarding school at Naalya Hillside and left his wife to enjoy life the she wishes.
