At the age of 19, David Katabalwa was last year elected the Local Council One (LC1) head of Tente Village Ntenjeru Ward, Kayunga Town Council, Ntenjeru North Constituency in Kayunga district.
He probably became the youngest Ugandan to be elected the village chairman but most surprisingly as an FDC member.
As a norm, in Uganda, LC1 chairmanship is the lowest political slot but usually occupied by oldest and particularly respected opinion leaders in the village and most times wealthy or those conversant with the politics of the area.
But the 20-year-old Katabalwa defied odds and leads a whole village in Kayunga.
FDC leaders from main offices at Najanankumbi on Tuesday made an impromptu visit to Tente Village Yesterday, they talked to a number of area elders who confirmed and attested to the good and able leadership of this Young man.
They thanked the Party for grooming such young leaders and building confidence among the masses that made them chose Katabalwa David as their local leader.
