Ex UPC Vice President, Bbosa Dies in Netherlands

RIP; Bbosa

The former Uganda People’s Congress (UPC) Vice President Joseph Bbosa has died in the Netherlands.

Bbosa has been the husband to the Hon. Lady Justice Solome Balungi Bbosa of the International Criminal Court.

Ms Balungi on Tuesday announced the passing of her husband; “Dear colleagues, I bring you the sad news of the passing of my husband Joseph Fred Bossa in the Netherlands. Burial arrangements will be communicated later. May his soul rest in peace.”

The deceased was a close ally of former UPC leader Olara Otunnu before he was ousted by the party founder’s son Jimmy Akena.

While Akena son to Former President Apollo Milton Obote assumed the party presidency, Bbosa was branded errant member who planned a parallel faction.

UPC official Mr Peter Walubiri also confirmed the death of Mr Bbosa and said he had not been doing well though he had shown some signs of improvement.

Walubiri added that Bbosa ‘s death is big loss and great challenge to Uganda and the legal fraternity.

“It’s very sad because Mr Bbosa has been trying to sort out issues of the party and he had died at a critical time when the country needs resourceful people like him,” Walubiri said
