Justine Nameere, daughter to Agriculture Minister, Vincent Bamulangaki Ssempijja has over the last six years been in and out of the media industry, not only as a television presenter but also a news maker.
The showy TV personality was first locked out of New Vision offices early this year and would later be remanded to Luzira last June over a debt of shs 55 million.
Court had sentenced her to six months in jail but as the proverbial cat with nine lives, Justine Nameere a dangerously beautiful but unlucky woman was back on the Kampala streets.
And again, the former Bukedde TV presenter is back in the news.
This time having played pick & play to a Taxify Driver identified as Collin.
The Story
This website has reliably learnt that on Sunday, September 22, Collin received request that a customer needed his services, from Najjera to Mengo at BBS TV head offices.
Time check was 3:00 pm, Nameere and her two children (boy and girl) entered an already waiting vehicle and left for BBS TV.
Upon reaching her destination, Nameere informed the driver (Collins) that she was returning home shortly and therefore requested that her children stay in the car.
Meanwhile she didn’t end the trip.
The driver advised that it would be costly if she doesn’t end the trip, Nameere wondered why Collins would care about her money.
“Is it your money?” she quoted to have said.
Little did the driver know, Nameere was spending ages at BBS, she returned around 5:30pm and told the driver to drive to UBC, her workplace.
Meanwhile at Bulange, Nameere later asked the driver to end the first trip which had accumulated to shs 64000.
At UBC, it seems Nameere didn’t have a lot of business to conduct, she hurriedly told the driver to go back to BBS.
Nameere had come to pick money to pay the driver.
At BBS she was ‘meeting someone who would pay her money.’
As the they went back to Mengo, Nameere told the driver not to end the second trip. While waiting for hours outside BBS premises, she later asked Collins to drive home.
Meanwhile, it was approaching 9:00pm.
Towards Najjera (her home) Nameere asked the driver to avail 10k so that she buys ice cream for her children.
Pick & Play
As they arrived home, she politely led her children to the house and never returned.
The taxify driver kept in the compound for close to 2 hours, until he threatened to go to police.
The Minister’s daughter stormed out of the house in a nightdress looking deezy. “I had even forgotten about you,” she reportedly told Collins.
She confessed that she didn’t have any coin with her and offered her work ID as security.
“I will clear you tomorrow by 9am,” she said.
Taking no chances, Collins insisted that he was going to leave the car in her compound until she clears, but again he remembered she would forge statements.
He asked for security and she offered her Iphone 8+.
She also wrote an agreement.
The second trip was shs 87500 plus 10000 she bought ice cream and the previous bill of 64000 which amounted to shs 161500.
But shockingly Nameere didn’t pay next day as promised. Instead she ran to Kiira police reporting theft of her phone. She also reported to Taxify head offices that a driver (Collins) had hijacked her phone.
But Collins had reported to Najjera police on Sunday sensing that Nameera was becoming complex.
Until today, Nameere is yet to pay 160k. Authorities at Najjera Police said they have been hunting Nameere for failing to clear a related debt.
