The ruling party- NRM candidate Ms Harriet Businge has won Hoima Woman MP By-election.
According to provisional results gathered by Internal Security Organization (ISO) from 17 sub-counties in Hoima District, Businge has won the hotly contested race on Thursday evening.
The ISO report indicates that Businge garnered 55.85% while her closet opponent and the FDC flag-bearer Asinansi Nyakato scored 44.14%.
Media reports earlier Thursday indicated that Nyakato was in early lead.
When contacted, the Electoral Commission spokesperson Mr Jotham Taremwa told this website that tallying results was still on going and the winner will be announced later on.
