Buganda Road Court has Wednesday charged and remanded to Luzira Prison two men who are accused of leaking socialite Martha Kagimba alias Martha Kay’s nude pictures in May.
The accused have been identified as Farid Mukiibi, 34 and Herbert Arinaitwe aged 27.
They are battling charges of aggravated robbery and offensive Communication under the computer misuse act.
Prosecution claims that the suspects and others still at large between April 10 and 11 in Kampala robbed Martha Kay of two mobile phones which included; Samsung Galaxy S8 gold in colour and iPhone X black in colour.
They reportedly drugged the victim with scopolamine after she lost her consciousness. While in the unconsciousness state, they robbed Shs400,000, a Stanbic Bank ATM card and driving permit.
Court heard that after the incident, the suspects, repeatedly using electronic communication, harassed their victim with intent to place her under reasonable fear for her safety. They also tasked her to part with Shs10m to regain possession of the property they allegedly robbed.
They pleaded not guilty and were remanded till August 19.
