Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development workers are yet to come to terms with the transfer of high achieving Permanent Secretary, Pius Bigirimana with many contemplating resigning their jobs.
They describe Mr. Bigirimana’s departure as being “orphaned” because of the solid working relation they had built with the PS.
Bigirimana was recently transferred to Judiciary replacing Mr. Kivumbi Kagole who is being probed for mismanaging Judiciary funds.
He was asked to step aside by the Secretary to the Treasurer Keith Muhakanizi.
TrumpetNews intercepted messages sent to Bigirimana by emotional Gender Ministry officials who wonder who will fill the vacuum left by the diligent, principled and amiable person of Pius Bigirimana.
“Meanwhile, I realize I should have looked for another job earlier before you “orphaned” us,” one of the officials confesses.
Below are some of the touching messages sent to Bigirimana bidding him farewell;
“I am happy and at the same time sad that you are leaving that ministry which you have made known when no one knew about it before. You had made impact on both the national and international scene. They will greatly miss you!”
“We shall miss your sense of humour, your charisma, your parental guidance and support, your generosity among so many other things. For me specifically I will miss the father in you. I can’t forget where you got me from to where I am today and my worst fear is going back to where I was. I will be completely finished.”
“I will surely miss your guidance and mentorship. You have been my mentor… I know you didn’t know…. I thought l would get an opportunity to mention this to you… But your promotion has come so soon. I thank God.
God lead you alone to your next station and may His name shine through you.”
“Dear Ps. I thank God so much for allowing me meet you in my career path. I give God all the glory for your life and the promotion He has given you.
I have learnt alot from you and l will surely implement always your guidance.
I thank God for giving you a heart of care, hardwork, best performance, reward, love for mentorship and above all patience . Surely you have been patient with me and entire department. Forgive me where l have not performed to your expectations….”
“Good morning THE BEST PS any Ministry can ever have.
I wish you could advise the higher authorities on a better replacement than the suggested officer from NPA. The Ministry is practically going to plunge into a state of Mondo clan affairs hugely undermining other good efforts. It really needs a neutral and tough administrator to propel your evident great efforts you are leaving behind.
Meanwhile, I realize I should have looked for another job earlier before you “orphaned” us.”
