Self-styled pastor Joseph Kabuleta has been receiving funds from Rwanda to facilitate his well coordinated cyber attack on the First Family particularly Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
Kabuleta was Friday arrested and Uganda Police has since acknowledged that he is under its custody.
Police Spokesperson CP Fred Enanga issued a statement explaining the motive of the arrest.

This is to inform the public that a team of detectives from the Special Investigations Division has today arrested Joseph Kabuleta, a self -styled pastor, and put him under custody. He has been apprehended because of offensive communication against the person of the President.
According to preliminary information, the writer repeatedly posted grossly offensive messages, under “Joseph Kabuleta Weekly Rant Returns,” referring to the Fountain of Honor as “a Gambler, Thief and Liar”. Section 25 of the Computer Misuse Act, 2011, criminalizes such acts of communication.
We once again want to caution all those who glorify such communication particularly through social media, that though it is public space, it is not protected. Therefore, any postings of false fabrications will attract punishment in accordance with the laws.
The public is further advised to think first about what they say on social media. The joint forces will continue using the acquired capabilities to monitor comments on social media and any offenders will be investigated and punished. Investigations into the conduct of Joseph Kabuleta are ongoing and more information will be availed as investigations unfold.

A security official said Military Intelligence is investigating an allegation that Joseph Kabuleta has been receiving funds from Rwanda to facilitate him in attacking the First Family.
The official was not authorized to discuss the probe publicly and so spoke on condition of anonymity.
Kabuleta through his weekly rant on social media engineered a campaign with distorted and altered information against the First Family.
He disclosed that, credible information gathered indicates that Kabuleta has a dollar account in one of the banks whose name was withheld and investigations shows he has been receiving a lot of money whose source is linked to Rwanda.
“He is being questioned over this account and the source of money he has been receiving,” said a source.
By press time security was reworking the conclusions of this intelligence assessment.
No Defence official was willing to discuss the details of this probe.
Defence Spokesperson Brig. Richard Karemire was not available for a comment as his known telephone number couldn’t be reached.
