Museveni to Brief Nation on Kirumira Assassination as Kifeesi Strikes Again

President Museveni briefed the nation on Tuesday.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has taken to his Twitter page to condole with the nation the untimely death of Prof. Apolo Nsibambi who served as the country’s Prime Minister for twelve years.

“I have learnt of the untimely passing of the former Prime Minister, Prof Apolo Nsibambi. He was a true patriot and great academic. The country will miss him. I have instructed Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda to lead a team that will ensure we give Prof Nsibambi a befitting send-off,” Museveni posted on his social media pages.

Also, Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) president Maj. Gen Mugisha Muntu mourned the demise of Nsibambi.

“I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Professor Apollo Nsibambi. We pray that God strengthens the family as they go through this undoubtedly difficult time,” Muntu wrote on Facebook.

Nsibambi passed away Tuesday evening at Rubaga home in Kampala.
