High Court has thrown out an application filed by Kyadondo East legislator, Robert Kyagulanyi against Uganda Police in which he sought shs 300 million as compensation.

The judge, Henrietta Wolayo  in her ruling on Friday said Mr. Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine didn’t back his petition with evidence to indicate the how the cancellation of his shows infringed on his rights to freedom of assembly, right to work among others.

Bobi Wine accused police of violating his right to earning a living after calling off all his music shows.

The judge in her submission added that it was Bobi Wine’s mandate to prove to Court how Police and Attorney General infringed on his rights which he didn’t do in all the submissions presented to court.

Renowned city human rights lawyer Ladislaus Rwakafuzi in October 2017  filed an application on behalf of Bobi Wine in which he told Court that the singer has lived his whole life as an artiste therefore blocking his concerts will curtail him from earning a living.
