Kakaire

Weekly Observer senior political reporter, Sulaiman Kakaire has Friday been unveiled as the new spokesperson of Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) led by Maj Gen Mugisha Muntu.

Mr. Kakaire joins a horde of other journalists who speak for different political affiliations in Uganda.

Former Daily Monitor Managing Editor Mr. Don Wanyama was appointed President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s press secretary in 2016, followed by Ronald Muhinda the Personal Assistant to Dr. Kizza Besigye.

Muhinda was a senior reporter with Radio One and quit his job in 2017.

Two days ago, Joel Ssenyonyi a former news anchor at NTV was unveiled as People Power publicist.

On Friday morning during an engagement with the media, Gen. Muntu revealed that he had appointed Mr. Kakaire as the publicist secretary.
