The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Koboko District Isaac Kawooya perished Friday in fatal accident that occurred in Mpigi District on Masaka Highway.
Police said a cargo truck bearing Tanzanian number plate TZ 881DNG rammed into a premio registration number UAZ 417D killing all the occupants of the premio on spot.
Other victims are identified as Hajji Abdullah Muwonge, 54, of Nyamitanga in Mbarara, Anasipasi Mukakamali, 66; Christine Aharizira, 25, of Mutojo Ntungamo, Manusulu Semanda of Kakoba in Mbarara District; and a five-year old juvenile who has not been identified.
Police says investigations into the cause of accident are underway.
Bodies of the deceased have been taken to Mulago hospital.
Any eyewitness said the cargo truck which was coming from Kampala lost control as the driver tried to overtake at Mpabire swamp and smashed the premio.
