People Power leader, Robert Kyagulanyi has rubbished People’s Government president, Kizza Besigye’s revelation that opposition politicians in Uganda will never unite.
The FDC founder on Wednesday appearing on a local radio station said under the current political environment in Uganda it is very difficult for opposition to unite and front a joint Presidential candidate in the coming election.
Besigye highlighted among others fours reasons to back his argument which include; use of fear by the state, seizing of country’s wealth, propaganda and use of divide and rule.
He said President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has applied Divide and Rule to crash opposition stalwarts deemed powerful.
But on Thursday, the new opposition face as many say, Hon. Kyagulanyi better known as Bobi Wine dismissed Besigye’s dogma saying, Museveni has not divided opposition.
“We are dividing ourselves. We may not like each other but we have to work together for a common goal,” Bobi Wine said.
He was attending the signing of joint pact by opposition parties DP, SDP and JEEMA.
“If we choose to work together not even Museveni’s money can come between us. If we fail to unite Ugandans will not blame Museveni they will blame us,” he added.
He concluded: “we either unite and win Museveni as brothers or let us all be eaten as fools.”
