Presidential Adivisor on Media Affairs has no interest in any ministerial position in the current regime, Mr. Tamale Mirundi has indicated.

Mirundi, who spoke for the Presidency for over decade confessed that his closeness with the number one citizens exposed him to how people in government fight to fail others.

He said, during his tenure at State House, he learnt how Ministers become excited when offered the position but in long term turn miserable after failure to access money.

Mirundi said mafia has infiltrated as government institutions.

“I can’t take any job in government because mafia is everywhere,” he said during his weekly TV show on NBS.

He added; “You see those ministers they seem happy. But they are very angry. They don’t have access to the money. Mafia takes it all.”

The moderator then posed a question if Mirundi would take Minister of Information slot.

He dropped a bombshell: “I would rather clean Kampala toilets than becoming a minister in Museveni’s government.”

Mirundi known for his belligerence towards political actors both in opposition and government has for years claimed that several regime officials don’t support President Yoweri Museveni but his money.

Before he was replaced as Museveni’s Press Secretary, Mirundi had busted a racket of officials in State House who were hoodwinking the President into pocketing billions of cash.

Apart from Museveni and his family, Mirundi said he supports no one else in the NRM government.
