President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has cautioned the youths against being misled by a clique of opposition leaders into engaging security in fierce street battles.

Museveni said rioting is not only dangerous and wastage of time but also many youths could end up losing lives.

“Do not support the opposition…They want to take you into riots which is dangerous and wastage of your time,” Museveni told a group of youths he has met at State House Entebbe on Thursday.

He cautioned, “They want you to riot but what if you die from there?”

The President is consolidating his position at a time all politicians in the country are planning for upcoming general elections.

It is only two years left for the citizens to choose their next President.

All indications are clear Museveni will seek a reelection.

Last month an equally top organ of his party agreed unanimously to offer him sole candidacy.

Among those expected to vie for the top seat is opposition legislator Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine who shot to spotlight as dancehall musician.

He, on several occasions has used music to extend political message to the masses.

His latest tune “Fiscal Policy” Bobi Wine summarily explains how he intends to improve the economy which for long has been described as “bleeding.”
