Kyadondo East lawmaker Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu has openly revealed his plans to challenge President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in the next election.
The dancehall singer- turned politician popularly known as Bobi Wine, on Thursday told American news cable CNN that contesting against Museveni is something he has thought about after being approached by many Ugandans.
“Many Ugandans registered as voters and overwhelming Museveni is only our way out,” he said.
Asked whether he sees himself challenging Mr. Museveni, Bobi Wine responded: “Well this question has come up many times and many people have come to come call for me to stand.”
He added: “We have been discussing this issue with my team and I must say that I and my team are seriously considering challenging President Museveni in the next Presidential election.”
