President Kaguta Museveni has met MTN boss Rob Shuter in Davos, Switzerland where he had gone to attend the World Economic Forum.
The telecom giant tweeted “MTN Group CEO@ShuterRob met with HIS Exellency President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda at the World Economic Forum to re affirm MTN Group’s Comminttement to Uganda and discuss recent development in market”
This however received sarcastic responses from Ugandans who are still lamenting about the on- going situation at MTN where three employees have been deported and not forgetting the free ‘inactive’ data that was gifted to the subscribers.
Museveni joins other political, Economists and business leaders in Davos for a four day discussion on the most pressing economic issues affecting the world.
The Forum is being held under the theme “Globalisation 4.0: Shaping a Global Architecture in the Age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution–how to make globalisation work for every world citizen, not just a few individuals.
