Kyengera Murder suspect arrested in Soroti

Information coming from Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire is that Okwir Isaac who is known to have shot a one Kinene Abubakar on 7th January 2019 in Kyengera Touwn Coucil Wakiso District has been arrested in Soroti in Eastern Uganda while trying to escape to his village in Pallisa district.

  It is alleged that at around 2100hrs, Okwir who was attached to Redteck Security Company had a bitter verbal exchange Kinene, a resident and businessman in his neighborhood. Okwir could not control his anger and pulled out his gun and shot his contender dead.

After the incident, Isaac the murder suspect abandoned his gun at the security company head office in Ntida and fled. The gun was later collected by a detective and exhibited as type SAR UG PSO 81363098767 with three rounds of ammunitions.  As investigations went on, Okwir was on Wednesday arrested by intelligence as he was trying to run away to hide in Pallisa. He was transported back to Kampale on Thursday and will be arraigned in courts of law on charges of murder. His case is registered under SD REF. 52/07/01/2019.
