Tanga Odoi Refers to Bobi Wine’s People Power as ‘People Wind with no Geographical Expression’

Ruling Party Electoral Chairman Prof. Tanga Odoi has scoffed at the new political movement superintended by Kyadondo East legislator Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine.

The professor wondered what Bobi Wine and his followers stand for or represent with their movement dubbed People Power which is perceived as a new force that islikely to give the regime a bloody nose come 2021 general elections.

But whereas the excitement among opposition loyalists is at its peak,Tanga Odoi who has primarily dealt with political actors up to the grass root described People People as ‘passing storm.’

“I call it People Wind because you wonder what it stands for it doesn’t even have a geographical expression,” said Odoi whose verbal missile targeted former presidential candidate Abed Bwaniika.

Mr. Bwaniika earlier reminded the house that he represents People Power, “the new political animal” which will trounce the ruling party in 2021.

The two were attending the national launch of Electoral Commission strategic plan and election roadmap which occurred at African Hotel under the supervision of Prime Minister Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda.

Reacting to Bwaniika’s remarks, Odoi blamed opposition leader as the peddlers of elections violence because they shun dialogue at all levels of  political participation.

“Why can’t we sit down as leaders and converse, engage and then the lower people can also borrow a leaf from us?” asked Odoi.

He further attributed the political crisis the contestation of egos among different players in the political arena.
