Another Senior Police Officer Flees into Exile

Siraje Bakaleke

Former Regional Police Commander (RPC) for Kampala South, Siraje Bakaleke has reportedly sneaked out of Uganda to elude imminent arrest.

His woes stemmed from a Court notice declaring Bakaleke a wanted man to answer charges of fraud and robbery.

This website understands that he is hiding in Sweden where his other comrades who ran out of Uganda are staying.

The former director of ICT AIGP Amos Ngabirano and former aide of Gen Kale Kayihura Jonathan Baroza all ran into exile on learning a government plan to throw them in jail.

A source in police said authorities suspect the duo could have arranged Bakaleke’s secret departure.

These officers were once powerful during Gen Kayihura’s leadership where criminality had taken toll in the establishment.

An online publication, Spyreports on Friday reported that Bakaleke travelled by road to Kenya where he boarded a plane to Europe to evade arrest.
