In unprecedented shift of events, senior presidential advisor on media Tamale Mirundi has heaped praises on outgoing Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Executive Director Jennifer Musisi.
Having executed her duties with precision for 7 years, Musisi shocked the nation a fortnight ago when she tendered her resignation to the appointing authority.
Musisi who many perceived as a darling to the executive cited quite a number of challenges that compelled her to quit a job that earned shs 40 million as monthly salary.
However, it merged that Musisi’s action stemmed on the fallout between her and President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni since 2016.
With authority this website last week reported how the President snubbed Musisi’s phone calls for close to two years having decided to elect an opposition member Betty Kamya as the political head of Kampala, a move seen as veiled ploy to undermine and clip her wings.
In her seven year reign as the technical head of Kampala city, Musisi has faced criticism engineered by those basically affected by her policies.
Among those who openly condemned Musisi is Mirundi while he was Presidential spokesperson and after his appointment as media advisor.
Appearing on several media platforms, Mirundi would bash her policies.
He also branded her an agent of the mafialism whose policies were undermining the regime.
But on Tuesday while appearing on local TV, NBS for his weekly talkshow, Murundi lauded Musisi as one of the best government officials whose ideals had helped the public.
“Musisi was very good. Yes very good and with best ideas,” said Mirundi prompting the moderator to question his change of stance.
But the belligerent Mirundi was quick to add that the downfall of Musisi is attributed to the mafia group that runs the government.
“What the mafia does is to misled you and bring you down. They are now happy she out of their way,” he added.
