American entertaining couple, Kanye Omari West and Kim Kardashian have been offered local names during their private visit in Uganda where they met the country’s President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni
Meeting Monday at Entebbe State House, the duo were welcomed by Museveni and his children after which they held talks with the first family on how to boost Uganda’s tourism sector.
The two socialites had previously been thrilled by the country scenery at the hotel Chobe Safara Lodge in Murchison National Park, North West of Uganda.
Their confession when they met Museveni was no doubt Uganda is one of the most beautiful countries on the globe.
“President Museveni today met US music star Kanye West aka YE and his wife, Kim Kardashian, at State House Entebbe. The head of state’s discussion with the American entertainment stars focused on supporting Uganda’s tourism and the arts,” Don Wanyama, the President’s senior press secretary wrote on his personal Facebook account.
President Museveni in turn gave Kim a copy of his ‘Sowing the mustard seed’ book.
Kanye presented a pair of Yeezy Sneaker Shoes as a gift to Museveni who in return gave the visiting couple local names.
Museveni named Kanye ‘Kanyesigye’ meaning trust and his wife as named ‘Kemigisha’ meaning the one with blessings from God.
Both names are in Runyankore one the biggest tribes in Uganda to which Museveni belongs.
