Departing FDC official Kasim Kyazze has tasked Secretary General Hon Nandala Mafabi to explain when the party bought cups and plates he has been using at his office in Makindye, Kampala.
Kyazze had been the area General Secretary until September 30, 2018 when he resigned to follow his former boss Gen. Mugisha Muntu who renounced membership last week.
Mafabi, who is the accounting officer was prompted to write to Kyazze to account for the materials has been using and subsequently handover office to the area Chairman Livingstone Kizito.
On Tuesday Kyazze responded to Mafabi’s directive.
On 30/9/2018, I made it public that I had ceased being a member of FDC where I have been a leader as the General Secretary of the party in Makindye district.
Consequently, the General Secretary of the party wrote to me requesting that I hand over different party properties that included a specified number of cups and plates, cheque book, stamp etc. I want to respond as thus;
As an aspiring leader, I consider accountability a key issue and there is no way I can leave FDC without handing over. But for the record, I want to state that FDC has never given me cups and plates. I will handover the party cheque book and stamp.
My full time work from now will be promoting the New Formation.
