Mityana Municipality legislator Hon Francis Zaake’s health has continued to worry his family members after he deteriorated on Tuesday compelling Indian doctors to take him back on life support system.
He is admitted at Manipal Hospital.
Zaake’s wife who accompanied him to India to receive specialised treatment told local newspaper Daily Monitor that for 11 days, her husband has been in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) until Tuesday when he displayed signs of improvement.
But he relapsed compelling doctors to put him back on life support machine.
“In every 24 hours, she sees him for only 60 seconds at 11.30am and 6.30pm,” Monitor reported.
Bridget Namirembe quotes Indian experts who claim that Zaake’s blood has foreign ingredients besides external body injuries.
Namirembe couldn’t provide medical evidence saying, “all reports are issued at discharge. So I can’t tell what the foreign substances are.”
There are claims that both Zaake and his counterpart Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine were injected with deadly substance after their arrest in Arua.
She added that her husband consistently complains of headeache and pain in the spine.
She said neurologists and physiotherapists were attending to Zaake by press time.
Zaake and Bobi Wine had been arrested in Arua after violence broke out which left many injured and one shot dead.
The deceased identified as Yasin Kawuman was Bobi Wine’s driver who was shot dead by the military.
Bobi Wine claims Kawuma’s shooters had targeted him.
They were charged with treason following the stoning of the Presidential motorcade.
