You’re Selfish; Bobi Wine Driver’s Family Attacks Wadri

Yasin Kawuma

The family of Yasin Kawuma who was shot dead three weeks ago in Arua violence has attacked area legislator Kassiano Wadri accusing him of selfishness

The late driver’s family also claims that Wadri for whom Kawuma and Bobi had gone to campaign for has never turned up to eulogise with them and pay homage to their fallen hero or even check on the widow and orphans.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Kawuma’s brother expressed disappointment on the way they were neglected by all parties that had Kawuma killed while serving them and were disappointed that they were now alienated by people who got their man killed

“Our brother would be alive now if he hadnt been asked to go to Arua with Bobi who was his employer. We expected Wadri to come by and sympathise with us since Kawuma was killed in line of duty where he (Wadri) emerged winner. His efforts were never appreciated and this very sad for us” said Kawuma’s late brother

In the aftermath of the elections, Wadri was declared winner while in jail just like Bobi Wine.

However Bobi Wine’s wife and close family attended the burial of their fallen colleague, even pledged support for the widow and orphans.

Kawuma was a close confidant of Bobi Wine and had volunteered to drive him while on his campaign trails.

The family also accused Police of being “quiet” on the investigations involving who shot Kawuma. The late driver was shot in the chest while waiting for Bobi Wine at his hotel. Police then launched into investigations to find out who could have gunned down the late Kawuma.

Efforts to reach Honorable Kasiano Wadri were futile as his known numbers were switched off.
