Six people have died on spot and five other’s rushed to Gulu hospital in critical condition following the nasty accident at Tochi swamp along Gulu Kampala highway.
The accident happened before crossing the bridge left six people who were travelling on two motor cycles killed by over-speeding driver.
According to Jimmy Patrick Okema the Aswa region police spokesperson the motor vehicle registration number UBD 227C Noah knocked two motorcycle s carrying passengers on UEF 224A and UDK 215S left six bodies 3 for women and other 3 for men scattered on the road.
Okema adds that other person pronounced dead in Gulu hospital where he was rushed in critical conditions to bring the total to seven.
He attributed the cause of accident on reckless driving saying four other victims are still nursing injuries in Gulu hospital.
Okema however says police has embarked on finding the identities of the deceased and those still nursing injuries in the hospital.
Police removed the wreckage of Noah car and two motorcycles and taken to police to allow traffic flow and investigation is on to establish what exactly caused the deadly accident.
He cautioned the Bodaboda riders not to Carry over 3 Passengers on motorcycle because each motorcycle were transporting four Passengers.
