Police in Kampala Metropolitan has launched investigations into allegations that a UPDF General Andrew Gutti has fleeced of shs 180 million.
An online publication Spy Uganda, on Thursday reported that Lt Gen Gutti who heads the Military Court was conned by a relative identified as John Baptist Odongo who manages his posh Hotel in Gulu.
Gutti reported a case of obtaining money by false pretence vide SD 16/28/08/2018 filed at central police station Kampala.
In his statement Gutti told police that he agreed with Odongo to pay him shs 5 million monthly for 3 years which the latter failed.
However, Gutti didn’t disclose the details of the transition for which he was entitled for the said cash.
Odongo was arrested from Arua Park where he operates his business and is currently detained at central police station Kampala awaiting to be transferred to Moroto where he committed the offence.
