Gen. Kale Kayihura, a former police chief will Friday morning appear before the Court Martial at Makindye in Kampala.
The once powerful UPDF General was arrested in June from his farm in Kashaagama, Lyantonde District.
Some reports claim was attempting to flee the country after learning of an army operation launched to arrest him.
Further reports indicate he faces charges of abuse of offices unlike ealier speculation that he would be charged with assassination of his assistant police officer Andrew Felix Kaweesi who was brutally murdered last year in March.
By the time of filing this report, relatives, friends, media and government officials had started arriving at Court.
