Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine will appear before Gulu Military Court Military Court.
Bobi Wine was set to be arraigned at the Court Martial in Makindye, Kampala on August 23, 2018, however, government authorities decided to return him to Gulu for ‘security reasons.’
This website understands that Bobi Wine was airlifted in a military chopper on Wednesday evening.
His supporters dubbed the red army, opposition leaders, family members and several other people had announced they would attend the Thursday Court session at Makindye.
“We have taken him to Gulu for security reasons,” said a high ranking government official.
Bobi Wine’s lawyers had earlier insisted that their client was due to appear in Gulu Court not Makindye as reported in the media.
Bobi Wine was last Thursday remanded to Makindye barracks illegally possessing a gun and several rounds of ammunition, a charge he dispels as political.
