Shocking Photos of MP Zaake after he was Beaten to Pulp in Arua Violence

Opposition supporters have Wednesday afternoon circulated pictures of Mityana Municipality lawmaker Hon Francis who was allegedly battered by security in Monday chaos in Arua District.

The violence orchestrated by the members of the opposition as claimed by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni saw tens arrested and one shot dead.

The deceased is identified as Yasin Kawuma a driver of Kyadondo East MP Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine.

Bobi Wine who lately gathered overwhelming political clout is among those detained.

Mr Bobi Wine together with a horde of other opposition MPs who include Gerald Karuhanga, Paul Mwiru, Francis Zaake and others have since been arrested.

Whereas their relative and supporters claim SFC is responsible for their detention, the spokesperson of this elite military unit Jimmy Denis Omara told this website, “no time have they ever been with us.”

Against that background, on Wednesday afternoon, photos of a clobbered Zaake started running viral on internet.

Zaake with a swollen face

In the photos, one can tell that Zaake had a through beating as he appears to have deep wounds, swollen face and gravely injured fingers.

Rubaga North Legislator Moses Kasibante who posted pictures of his colleague didn’t avail more details or his whereabouts.

He rather alleged SFC commandos raided Zaake’s hotel room in Arua before leaving in such sorry state.

Kasibante however added he was optimistic doctors would bring Zaake back to life.

This website is trying to establish the location of this frail MP.

Zaake was last year clobbered on the floor of parliament by security operatives during the harsh debate of lifting age limit.

He was subsequently flown to U.S to acquire treatment as his case needed special medical attention.

While in U.S there were fears that he would lose his eye sight.

Arua residents were Wednesday casting their vote to choose a new representative after the sudden demise of Hon Ibrahim Abiriga who was shot dead as he returned home in the recent past.
